UMC PRIMARY & QUICK CARE FACILITY

For this project, Martin-Harris converted 2-story, 12,000 SF bank into a UMC Primary & Quick Care facility in the Centennial Hills Gateway Shopping Center. The first floor foot-print was extended utilizing the existing canopy’s structure, to create 5,924 SF of space for UMC. This suite included a waiting room, reception area, work area, business office, tech room, IDF room, utility closet, soil room, janitor closet, breakroom, (4) triage rooms, laboratory, (9) medical exam rooms, an observation space and procedure room. In the center of the first floor is a nurse’s station which include workstations for medical personnel and portable medical equipment to use in exam rooms. There are additional workstations for patient registration and medical associates who work with patients and their insurance privately.

The second-floor improvement consisted of a welcoming reception area, doctor’s offices, twelve exam rooms, a nurses’ station, break room and a conference room.

The existing fire sprinkler system was altered to meet the building modification requirements and a new sidewalk and curb were included as a part of the exterior scope of work.

The improvements not only expanded the medical operations for UMC but provided the community medical services and primary care physicians closer to home. This facility is within the 1.3 million square foot Northwest Centennial Gateway Shopping Center located in Northwest Las Vegas surrounded by residential neighborhoods and easy access off the 95 freeway. Centennial Gateway is an 100% occupied re-tail/restaurant/medical complex providing services to over 50,000 households. There are no other Urgent Care facilities within the center and there are only 2 other urgent cares within the general vicinity to service the highly populated area. Since Centennial Hills Hospital is located under 3 miles away, the medical office suites provide a convenient location for follow-up visits from hospital stays. This tenant improvement provided the community availability and options for medical treatment, from quick care needs through primary care appointments.
