Switch RNO, the first data center at the Citadel Campus, sets a new level for scale as the single largest colocation data center facility on the planet, encompassing up to 1.3 million square feet and up to 130 MW of power capacity. Like all Switch data centers, NAP 1 is designed to accommodate future-proof, high density deployments, high-performance workloads and always-on applications across a wide spectrum of industries and technical requirements.
All Switch data centers are designed and built to the advanced standards of the world-renown Tier IV Gold-rated Switch LAS VEGAS multi-tenant data centers. Surrounded by a 20-foot-high, solid concrete wall, The Citadel Campus in Tahoe Reno is a technology fortress that is unsurpassed for security, reliability, connectivity, and energy sustainability.
Martin-Harris has been the preferred general contractor for these projects for Switch. For this particular one, we performed the interior build-out of the 2.5 Mega Watt power system which includes 6 redundant generators, 3 AHUs, interior build-out of the 60,000 SF Data Sector, and interior build-out of the 15,000 SF, two-story office space including 2 stairwells and 1 elevator.
The project was completed within the 9-month schedule and on budget.
