Construction of a new private hangar for the Las Vegas Sands Corporation at McCarran International Airport. The Sands terminal houses a 12-plane air force, ranging from an eight-seat Hawker 800XP to the compact version of the Boeing 747.

The hangar roof consists of several heavy, longspan trusses. Because of the low weight-to-length ratio of the trusses, the trusses were evaluated in several configurations to account for shipping, handling, and final erection conditions. Together with the erector and the crane supplier, structural engineer, Innova, developed a plan to safely erect the trusses without the need for temporary shoring. This Project consisted of the concrete tarmac apron along with the new hangar facility that also included interior finishes for the office space.
