Demolition of existing public education facility and new construction of a 64,000 SF replacement school. The scope of work included the entire spectrum of new building construction, on and off site improvements and a large amount of selective hard and soft demolition to the existing facilities. The design approach focused on creating an interactive learning environment, which used the structure as a tool. The goal was to blur the lines between the inside and out. Each classroom has exterior windows and a complex system of tubular skylights that provide ample amounts of natural light.
