Frank Martin's experience in the construction industry encompasses more than 40 years and numerous projects throughout the Southwest. Frank Martin founded Martin-Harris Construction (MHC) in December 1976 and was licensed by the Nevada State Contractors Board in February 1977. MHC has since been granted general contracting licenses in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and Utah.
Martin’s industry and community recognitions include: Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year for the Inland Empire Region (construction and real estate division); Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce Community Achievement Award in Business; the “Lieder Award” from the Lied Institute of Real Estate Studies; the “Pioneer Award” from the Association of General Contractors and the “Lloyd D. George Family Values Award” by The Las Vegas International Scouting Museum and the “2009 Good Scout Award” from the Las Vegas Area Council Boyscouts.
Martin serves on the board of directors for US Bank, Opportunity Village, Life Time Board Members of AGC, UNLV Foundation, CCSN Foundation Board, IWPAC (water planning advisory committee and the finance subcommittee) and PCCHA (Pacific Coast Cutting Horse Association).
Martin has been married to his lovely wife, Bonnie, for over 40 years. They have two sons (Guy and Jerrad) and are the proud grandparents of five grandchildren (two boys and three girls). He and Bonnie have hosted the annual Miss Kitty’s Jeans to Jewels fundraiser for Opportunity Village at their home, the Bitter Root Ranch, since 2001.
Frank Martin is a strong believer in giving back to the community in order to make Southern Nevada a better place to live, work and raise a family.
